August 10, 2013. The Silver Mountain and Area Historical Society celebrated history here at Silver Mountain Station the standing station of the Port Arthur and Duluth Western Railway. Speeches by Dave Battistell, Elinor Barr, Elle-Andre-Warner, Gilbert Erickson, Guy Wolframe were very interesting and educating. We placed a beautiful picture of Dorothea Mitchell (Lady Lumberjack) on the fireplace, along with a picture of James Guy Wolframe, the man who spent many years and hard work to restore the station, and put in the beautiful fireplace. The Old Mill Clydesdale gave many rides that day in a 1910 carriage.

We have just heard that Evan Costello – Laoghaire – the High King’s goldsmith has been found dead. It appears that he fell while trying to kiss the Blarney stone at Blarney Castle near Cork. The question is – did he just fall or did someone play a part in his death? And if he was killed, was he killed by the same person who stole the gold, or was it someone else?

March 1, 2013 is the Grand opening of the Four Deuces. A roaring Twenties Murder mystery. Featuring Al Capone. Don and MeMe Wannabe are hosting the grand opening celebration for their new Speakeasy, The Four Deuces, and you are invited to attend. The Four Deuces is a lavish juice joint serving booze and music in the front. In the back is the game room, and upstairs is a very high class and exclusive brothel, (no brothel in the spicy rated version). The cream, and not so cream, of society will be here. With gangsters, politicians, dolls, molls and many other interesting guests in attendance this event is sure to be the bee’s knees. The murder takes place at the party. There are references to prohibition / booze. The setting has a House of Ill Repute upstairs, but there are no prostitutes at the party. The Madam is there, but she is only a business woman. One character was a “working girl” in her younger days & tries to hide that fact, as she is now respectable. There are affairs, but the host guide tells you how to match up couples so that no one will be offended by this facet of the game. We handle all mature content in a very tasteful manner.
Join us by calling and reserving your tickets 475-4406. If you get the answering machine please leave you phone number so I may call you back to confirm you reservation.
